Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet

I wanted Suzy to be a strawberry originally, but another sweet baby girl had already gotten the costume I wanted her to have, so I was back to square one. I pondered, and pondered, and pondered about what she could be. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money due to her being so young and us not having any major plans this Halloween. I knew we would stick close to family, so what was the point in spending mega money on a costume?! I googled costumes for baby girls one day and clicked on the “images” icon to see what all I could find. I saw the cutest little clown “costume” for baby girls. It was a homemade costume that could be ordered from Etsy. I fell in love. I liked the little number strictly because it was more practical and didn’t seem too bulky or overpowering for Suzy. I text my SheShe to see if she thought the price was fair. She informed me that she thought it was a fair price, but that she could make it for her! I was thrilled. We love all our stuff from SheShe. I ordered some leg warmers off the internet and pulled her little red tutu out of her storage bin to complete the ensemble. Her little outfit was to die for. I, of course, think everything that she wears is adorable. I may be a little partial….
The Saturday before Halloween we ran out to a Halloween Party that Gigi and Pops were at. We knew we couldn’t stay long, but I wanted to put her in that cute little costume as much as possible. Since her bedtime is around 7:30’ish we weren’t able to stay but like an hour or so. It was just enough time to show her off and visit with friends. When we got home from the party Saturday night I quickly remembered why I don’t like to break schedule and routine. It was almost 8:00 when we got home and started the bedtime process. She threw a royal hissy fit. It was not fun. It was not fun, at all.
Gigi and Suzy!

I think she stole Pops' heart.

They are just in love with my Sue Baby.

Happy Girl.

For the actual holiday I got her dressed around 4:30 and went to Mimi and Papaw’s house. Mimi met me there so I could take some pictures of her in her cute little costume. We went to their next door neighbor’s house (Jon and LaKay) to use their holiday décor as a backdrop. When we finished up with pictures I left her with them, and went to the gym. She gave out Trick or Treat candy with the Geeslin Household while I worked off my treats at the gym. I worked off some the candy calories just to fill my belly with Sonic calories for supper. I wasn’t the only one splurging…. Lauren gave Suzy a sucker, watermelon flavored. You would have thought that she was going suck the candy off the stick the way she was smacking and carrying on. Halloween was a fun little holiday after all.

Ella Sue just couldn't figure out those shoes.

This costume was just too stinking cute.

"Mama, I got it! I got the punkin!"

She knew she could reach it!

The sucker giver, Laurie.

Strawberry Dum Dum.In looooove....

She had to get comfortable with Papaw and watch the Trick or Treaters.
