I'm Ashamed

I should be ashamed of myself---
Easter has come and gone, I know, but I am so embarrassed that I forgot to blog about it. We had such a great Easter weekend. I cannot believe it slipped my mind to let everyone know how great it was! We went to see our pal, Rachel Atkinson Elliot, for bunny pictures. Of course, she never disappoints.
Easter Bunny! The bunny looks fake, doesn't it?! Oh, but it wasn't! Suzy wasn't very sure about it either!

But, she loooooved the ducks!!

Here duck!
We spent most of our weekend at Mimi and Papaw’s house. It was cold and rainy that weekend, but we made the best of it. We let Suzy play in the mud puddles at Mimi’s house and get all good and wet! She loved it.
Carefree!

Those WERE brand new shoes!

Wipeout!
When Suzy woke up Easter morning, we went into the living room to see what the Easter bunny had left her. She racked up! Her big present was a life jacket for the lake. She is such a lover of water that I knew we couldn't go another year without a good life jacket  so I suggested it to the Bunny. He apparently agreed with me. “Mama’s Know Best”   She got all sorts of goodies: clothes, coloring stuff, books, candy a slinky, etc. She decided that all her ladybug candies decided on her ladybug rocker. I told you, she is a major organizer!

That's a bug chocolate in the slinky...

Bugs in the rocker...

Bugs in her mouth.
We went to Mimi’s house to dye Easter eggs with Pawpaw. He waited all morning for us to show up, but Suzy didn't wake up until after 9:00. We were a little later than expected. I found a recipe for dying eggs online and we used it. We filled a cookie sheet up with shaving cream and put a few drops of each color food coloring in the shaving cream. Suzy did her job of mixing all the colors together with her eggs. The eggs turned out fabulous! It was a very fun project!

PawPaw is smitten!

She didn't think it tasted as good as it looked!

Just a little forehead accessory.

End result! Not too bad, eh?
Who says we can't revisit Easter in May?!
