Christmas Festivities

We always have a lot of places to go during the Christmas season. We are lucky to still have our grandparents (Suzy’s great grands) with us, so we do our best to do everything we can with them! Mine and Scott’s families are very close with one another. My mom and Gigi will load up and go shopping without me in a second. I am very thankful that we have such a close group of family members!

Christmas Eve
My family always spend Christmas Eve together. We always have lunch or supper then open presents! This year Mimi opted out of traditional Christmas food. Scott cooked steaks, potatoes, mushrooms, etc. It was divine. Laurie even joined us for Christmas Eve festivities. Suzy had a big time opening all of her presents from Memaw, Papa, Mimi, and Papaw. Casey and Lissa even got her an adorable ladybug bean bag!
Mimi and Papaw got Suzy and new chair and ottoman. She desperately needed it. She is in love with it. I did learn my lesson on this one, I scotch guarded it. Even after the scotch guard it still looks nothing like that now. She is hard on her furniture!

Casey, Lissa, and Cammie!

Suzy got Casey a new picture of his "Man Room" at his new house :)

We took these pictures for Special Daze's Mode of the Week for the week of July 4th. Mrs. Judi does an awesome job. We buy tons of clothes from them! We love Mrs. Judi and Meg!! But, anyway.... Mom got Mrs. Judi to order some of the pictures from 7/4 and have them canvased. Memaw opened this picture of our little angel and just started crying. Job well done, Mimi and Mrs. Judi! You can find Mrs. Judi and Meg's store by clicking this link! They are amazing. They never disappoint! https://m.facebook.com/specialdazeboutique

Papaw has to model flowers too!

Even Papa will help the Sue Bird model her new threads.

Memaw and Papa got Suzy a new baby, a carseat, and a stroller. She was obsessed with it. Memaw bought it to keep at her house, so we had to hide it from Suzy so Memaw could sneak out with it.

"Mama give baby kisses"

We wore poor Cammie smooth out!

Scott bought me a Garmin for my running hobby. He also got me an iPod shuffle, so I didn't have to take my phone with me every time I wanted to run. So did Mimi.... So I got 2 iPod shuffles!

Night Night Sue Bird

She loved her new towels from Mimi!

Thanks, Laurie for capturing this photo :)

Baby and Sue Bird needed a napper.

Wakey, Wakey!! Eggs and Bacey!

Teaching her early!! Money from Daddy is always fun :)

We left mom’s house to head home to prepare for Santa Claus’ arrival. Laurie was there to help us get the house ready for his arrival. Suzy opened her last book for the month from her friends and family, got dressed in her Christmas pajamas, and went sound to sleep. She was anxious to see what Santa was going to bring her!
I snuck in to take a few pictures of what Santa left Suzy. My guard dogs didn't even bark when he dropped all her goodies off!
Santa knew just what Suzy wanted for Christmas! She got everything on her list!

More books, crayons, clothes, candy, Tervis, dishes, etc.!

Our SheShe made Sue Baby an apron and sent it to the North Pole for Santa to deliver with Suzy's kitchen. Our SheShe is a genius! It was such a special gift.

I think Laurie told Santa to bring all that frilly girly stuff. Papaw said she is doomed.... "She is never gonna be a race car driver, is she?"

Santa must have stopped by Target with Rudolph to pick up that awesome barn!

Bella Geeslin-- Worthless puppy dog.

Lola Smith.... The ruiner of all furniture.

Christmas Day
We have done breakfast at our house the past 2 years, so the family could see what all Santa left for Suzy. I had prepared most of the food the day before, so all I had to do was start a crockpot or throw some casseroles in the oven. The whole family had arrived before Suzy even woke up. When she finally ended her beauty rest session, she scurried into the living room to find all of her goodies. I think she was more surprised to see all of her family at our house so early in the morning than she was with all the presents. She finally tore into all of her goodies, and wanted everyone to play with her! She had an awesome Christmas!
For Christmas Day lunch we went to Gigi and Pops’ house to see Nanny, Will, and TyTy. We had some awesome southern food and Suzy racked up with presents again! She’s one lucky little girl.

She was in love with her kitchen! Her favorite part of the kitchen was the microwave!

Her very own silverware!

Suzy is riding her car in the house! We have permanent groves in our wood floors in the kitchen from her making laps through the house on her car.
Mimi and Papaw gave Suzy that Mr. Potato Head.... Brace yourselves... It has 106 pieces. Mimi was so thrilled. My feet, on the other hand are not.... stepping on eyeballs, legs, and ears is NOT fun! Thanks Mimi!

Suzy can walk better in high heels than KK and I. Laurie has taught Suzy well. She is a pro.

She loves when I take her for a ride on the car! We can go reallllly fast! Santa may have brought that car for me instead of Suzy, b/c I think I have more fun on it than she does!

Of course, I forgot to take my camera to Gigi's so I am going to have to get her camera and upload pictures from their house! She got loads of fun stuff from them too!! She is a lucky girl.

This past Christmas was so much fun for all of us. Suzy was old enough to really understand what presents were and she knew who Santa was. In all of her books she recognizes Santa, his reindeer, sleigh, and elves. When she sees him she says, “ho ho ho”…. She also calls Christmas Trees, kissing towers. We are so thankful the Lord blessed us with such an amazing family. Our little family of three is the greatest blessing to me.
