Ella Sue is Two!

My sweet, sweet Sue Baby is two years old already. She turned two January 7, but we had planned her birthday party for the end of January. It is just too hard to plan a birthday party so close to Christmas and the New Year. Having Suzy's parties later in the month seems to work out better for everyone. The excitement of opening presents has come back to Suzy and everyone's pocketbooks have been somewhat refreshed.
Suzy was excited about everyone coming to see her!

Since we didn't have a party planned for the actual day of her birthday, Mimi demanded we have a small gathering on her actual birthday. We followed Mimi's orders, and went to her house for the festivities. Mimi had stopped by Wal Mart and ordered a very toddler'ish cake that was delicious and bought ice cream, ordered pizza, and invited the family over for a little bit of fun.

Cheese pizza with the baby! Mimi bought Suzy a baby that sucks a paci and does who knows what else? You see that little Elmo cup on the table? Scott left it for Suzy at our house the day he left to go back to work in South Carolina. He left an entire collection of Elmo stuff for her. She was pumped when we came home to find it all.

Lolo even came to surprise Suzy! Suzy loves her Lolo. Lolo is the one who gave her the baby that she has named "Wowo".... you know, the one we can't live without.

Anticipation!

I think she loved it! Lolo brought Suzy a big version of "Wowo". She has the same yarn hair, a tutu, and ballet slippers. Suzy loves her!

We are big users of baby powder. We call it "pow-pow". Suzy thought that ther baby needed some pow pow on her bottom, too!

She thinks all girls deserve a to be fresh :)

Papa seems very interested in what is going on, doesn't he?!

She goes from eating it very carefully with her finger......

to using a fork.....

Then her finger again.....

To cutting the cake for me.....

Of course, Mama needed a bite too :)

The definition of "sweet kisses"!

Mean Mama thought Suzy needed the WHOLE cake!

Completely shocked!

If I had only known that giving Suzy a caked face would result in what was to come next....

UGH!!!

Do you think Laurie was proud of herself?

Suzy even thought it was funny!

Oh me, Oh my!
By the end of the "party", Suzy and I were exhausted. We couldn't wait to get home and get ready for bed. It just so hard for me to believe that my wee little baby is already two. I really wish I could just slow time down a little bit. I made sure that I told her Happy Birthday a million times, danced and sang with her, clapped and cheered for her birthday all week long! She definitely knew that her birthday and birthday week were very important to me!
