Cheeto Monster

The month of March started out with the stomach virus and ending with rain (rain, rain, and more rain). In between the beginning and the end of March, Spring Break snuck up on us. The first few days of Spring Break were miserable. It was rainy, cold, and gross. By the end of the week things started perking up in North Mississippi. Mimi and I got Suzy a slide on one of the cold, yucky days in Southaven and couldn't wait for her to be able to use it. Finally, by Thursday or Friday we got to go outside and soak up some sunshine.

This dirt, not Oreo.

Ooooops!

A little dirt never hurt anyone, right?

Lola doesn't mind helping her clean up!

Dirt and Cheetos! YUUUUUMY!

Peek-A-Boo!

She loved her slide just as much as we thought she would. Laurie got to come play with us that day. It was loads of fun!!

We had every toy that would roll and entertain Suzy in our front yard. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies, but we didn't care one bit. Suzy was having fun, and that is all I was concerned with.

Suzy looooves her Laurie.

We have this dog in our neighborhood that loves to litter our yard with his deposits of number two. I know it is not my dogs, because they are far too ladylike for that. Mine want to be out of sight of me before they do it. They will go anywhere else, but they won't go in our yard. I have seen this massive yellow dog depositing his goods quite a few times. Suzy apparently has never seen him leaving us those nice presents. She got very close to encountering it first hand.
YUCKY!!
She didn't get into the poop, but we made her think she did apparently. She was concerned with getting those hands cleaned off, wasn't she?
Even the pups decided to spend the day with us. They followed Suzy around hoping she would drop food, laid in the sun, and ran from Suzy when she didn't have any food to drop.

Suzy loves the dogs.... They like her IF she has food, but other than that... They don't really care for her.

Disinfect This House!!!

Last Friday and Saturday night our Sue Baby got a little sick. We blamed it on the spread of food she ate Friday night. She ate an entire beef enchilada, rice, and beans. We thought her little belly might have gotten upset from over eating, so we didn't pay much attention to it. That Sunday night I got sick. I was siiiiiiick. It was awful. Then, we heard about a few other babies that had gotten sick at daycare. I now know that she had the stomach virus and gave it to me. My mama came to the rescue at about 7:00 AM, Monday morning. She picked up Suzy and took her to daycare and I slept the day away. The phenergan and sleep did the trick. Suzy stayed at her house that night, and I picked her up from Tattle Tales Tuesday afternoon. I was thrilled to see her. Ahhhh. Pure heaven.

Then, weeeellll, then she got sick again. She was fine all afternoon Thursday. I put her to bed as usual, but she woke me up around 10:00 coughing through the monitor. The cough was not the usual cough, so I got up and went to check on her. Wow!!! When I walked in the door the smell knocked me down. It was terrible. I had to give her a bath from all the vomit. It was so sad to see her so pitiful.
After all the throwing up and dry heaving I started getting really worried. I don't think it would have been so bad if she had not been sick just a few days earlier. The more she threw up, the more worried I got. I ended up calling my mama, yet again, for reinforcement. Mimi came over and helped me tend to her. Every time I would get one thing washed another thing would have to be washed. Finally, around 5 o'clock AM Suzy was fast asleep. She didn't throw up or have another yucky diaper after about 4:00 AM. I was oooonnnne tired Mama. I do not want that yucky mess ever again. EVER. AGAIN.
Earlier Thursday afternoon.... Cheeseburger in Paradise.

If she is outside, she is happy! If you add a cheeseburger to the mix..... eeeeven better!

Thursday night. I had to lay her on a pallet while I stripped her bed to wash. Isn't this pathetic. This was after bath number 1.

She got moved to my bed after the next round so I could wash other stuff...

My night stand.... baby powder, water, popcorn, diet coke, and diapers....... My morning was lovely.

Her bumper pads were in the line of fire. I tried putting her in her bed without a bumper pad, but she would stick her legs through the spindles and they would get caught... All I had was pillows, so while she slept I stayed awake so I could make sure she didn't nuzzle into them. I also didn't want them to fall on her. I know it isn't the best thing to do, but I had to do something.
Friday morning Mimi came over around 10:00 AM so I could go to town and pick up some of school work and go to the grocery store to grab a few things. The main thing on my list was cleaning supplies! I bought $146 worth of cleaning junk. I bought all new toothbrushes, toilet brushes, and cleaning supplies to last a year. I was on a mission to clean the house. That night Kalon came over to help me. We cleaned from bottom to top. Literally, we cleaned baseboards, doors, linens, etc. It smelled so good in the house. Saturday we opened all the windows and spent the morning outside. I thought that some fresh air would do us both some good. Kalon spent the night Friday night, so she got to join in on all the fun!
We had breakfast outside. Cinnamon rolls are her favorite. She probably ate two whole rolls by herself. That is icing hanging off her nose and lips. Kalon taught her how to scrape the pan and eat the icing off her finger.

Filthy face!!!!

We got on the lawn mower to clip the yard and mulch leaves. Kalon told me that Suzy and I looked like "country came to town" on that lawn mower.... Suzy loved it. She used the mower as her own personal jungle gym.

Okay, I am a sucker..... I gave her a drink of my drink.... She fell in love. She NEVER gets this good stuff, but I figured she needed a treat.

The treat didn't last long. She spilled the Diet Coke, and started eating the ice off the ground.

We stopped by Kalon's today and they picked some flowers.
We got a lot accomplished Saturday. We cleaned flower beds, picked up sticks, burned a bunch of stuff, and rode the lawn mower! It was just thrilling to see Suzy feeling better. She deserved a good morning, and boy she had one!
I had a blast with her. I bragged to everyone I saw the next couple days about how much fun we had!
