July Recap

Since school started I have been running nonstop. I always overbook myself, and I pay for it dearly. I stay tired, I don't blog enough, I get behind on our Frugal Frocks business, etc....... BUT, I never miss a single second of playing with my Suzy. The baby has turned into toddler overnight it seems. We started going to First Baptist Church in Senatobia over the summer. While we went to "big church" Suzy would go to the nursery. She was not a fan of that one single bit. She actually will not have anything to do with me at all after church. I'm hoping that she will eventually fall in love with the nursery, because Scott and I want her to grow up in a church. I was very active in my church when I was younger and I want her to be involved and have as many great experiences as I did.

She looks so pretty in her church dresses and bows. I have to fight her to keep a bow in her hair. I wish she was a bow lover.

We also met Rachel Atkinson one hot afternoon in July to get her annual sunflower field pictures taken. I had the cutest big red bow in her hair, too bad it didn't  make it into one single picture. My pretty little girl has such much "tomboy" in her and so much "girlie girl" in her. She loves to play in the dirt, gravel, sand, and water. Her pretty little sunflower pictures really show you how wild the girl really is.... Take note of her dirty little legs and dusty feet!

Dirty feet :)

We asked her where Bella was... This was the response we got.

MELT MY HEART!
Here are some pictures from last year. She was 18 months old in the pictures above and 6 months old in the pictures below..... She sure has grown up, hasn't she?!

Suzy's hair really started growing this summer. She went from being almost bald to having those sweet little curls. Her vocabulary was growing by the day and she had obtained a mouth full of teeth. Too bad she still wouldn't use them to eat dinner in an appropriate manner.

We also got this little gem of a kitty in July. As you know, we had a little kitty named Bernice..... Bernice sadly left our family, and Suzy never quite got over it. We needed a new kitty. Suzy needed a little friend. She is still as obsessed with her as she was with Bernice. We slyly named our new little nugget, Birdie. We used to call Bernice, Bernie..... for all I know she may think that Birdie is Bernie?! Birdie came to us from the Tate County Animal Shelter. She is such a doll. She stayed inside for a couple weeks, but when she decided that my extra bedroom would be her bathroom she was booted to outdoor living.

Just doing a little writing.....

Suzy shares her cereal with Birdie.

And her bed!

Poor kitty!

"Give Birdie love, Suzy"
We had so much going on in July that I missed blogging about all the fun little things that we did. The Street Rod Nationals, a week at the lake house, and getting ready for school to start put a huge strain on my time. Thankfully, I have all my pictures on my handy dandy iPhone to help me remember what exactly happened in our lives in particular months.

August will be coming soon, I hope!
