BOO!!!

My aunt, SheShe (Sheila Hartsfield), is the maker of all things lovely in our family. I started looking for something for Suzy to wear for Halloween in like August. I try to plan in advance since SheShe usually makes all our fun stuff for us. I make sure to give her ample time to work her magic. I ran across this picture online one night while search for a Minnie Mouse costume! This photo was my inspiration for Suzy's costume this year.

Why Minnie? Well, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is her absolute favorite TV show. We have like 100 episodes recorded on our DVR and I have some downloaded on her iPad. If we cut the TV on it has to be on MM and if I crank my car MM better be on the iPad. Ole Mickey and Minnie have saved me from having numerous breakdowns on long trips!! Since she loves the show so much, I thought I would let her be Minnie for Halloween.
You are gonna have to wait to see the sweet Mouse!
Suzy goes to Tattle Tales a couple days a week when Scott doesn't get to come home. They are always very good about letting me know in advance when they have pictures, if she has a party, if she needs to bring certain things, etc...... They let me know about a week in advance what she needed to have for the Halloween party, but they forgot to share some other very important information. When we walked into daycare Thursday morning I had everything they told me to bring and I was feeling over prepared. I had even put a little black tank top on her to match Halloween colors (it was almost 80 degrees outside). Well, the feeling of being over-prepared vanished as soon as I rounded the corner to take Suzy into her classroom. She was the only kiddo there without a Halloween costume on. They forgot to tell me they could dress up. I dropped her off and started crying as soon as I got in my car. I felt absolutely horrible. I wanted to just go back in there, scoop her up, and take her home. I was heartbroken for her. She didn't know/care that she didn't have a costume, but I sure did. "Mom of the Year", Amy Smith.... UGH! By 8:00 Suzy had a sweet little costume that Robin found, and she looked adorable in it. I felt much better after I saw her dressed up like the other kiddos.

I picked Suzy up after school and we went to Mimi's house to get dressed. She was already hyped up from her party at daycare, and putting on her costume just fueled her fire. She loved it. We only made a few stops since she is such a hassle to get in and out of the car! We had to go to Memaw and Papa's, Jon Moores, Valerie's, and Mrs. Sandra's. She was a big hit at all her destinations!

She had to take the Toon Car to Jon and Lakay's house. What famous mouse would walk down the street? Suzy Mouse wouldn't just go by car, but she also got pushed! Fame gets the best of all girls sometimes.

Lucy tagged along in hopes that she would drop some candy!

Waiting for Jon to come to the door!

He had to get a photo of our Minnie!

She wanted the M&Ms immediately!
Satisfied with her candy stash and heading back to the car!

It is tough to get a big dress and your purse in a little coupe!

I am a bit obsessed with making traditions and taking pictures where we took them the previous year. I really like to compare the differences in Suzy. Since we took pictures by Jon's mums last year, we had to take pictures by the mums this year as well.

When left Jon's we headed to see Memaw and Papa. They loved her costume and loaded her up with candy. Papa kept telling her to get more! She didn't mind hoarding all their candy! When we left their house we headed to Burnsey's house. She and Briar got Suzy a special bag full of all her favorite things: sour worms, Sour Patch Kids, Minnie Mouse cookies, a Minnie cup, etc..... She is rotten, I tell ya.

This is the face I captured when she bit into the Tootsie Pop. :)

Suzy saw Mickey on the bag and knew immediately that it was gonna be a good present!!

Burnsey was more excited than Suzy, I think?!

Bryar and Suzy.... She had started getting tired at this point!
She was sugared up and ill by the time 7:00 rolled around. We were home and she was asleep by 7:30 Thursday night! The girl was worn slap out!

Sweet baby girl watching Minnie on her iPad on our way home.
Here are a few photos of Sue Baby that I took last year....... Boy, the differences in her are amazing!

Fall Break- Zoo Day!!

Kalon and I had been pondering Fall Break for a while. She is not a school teacher, but gets a lot of the same holidays that I get. She works for the Department of Revenue in Senatobia. On the days that she is not off when I am we try to think of a way for her to be off! We decided that Fall Break's Monday would be a perfect day for her to take a personal day. She took her day off which led us to plan something fun for the day. Why would you take off a day of work and not do something fun?! KK and I love the zoo more than any kid could. We will happily load up and spend a ridiculous amount of money to see an elephant or two. We love the zoo, Suzy loves animals, we are both off work (along with Mimi, Memaw, and Gigi)......... DUH! We went to the ZOO!!! We drug the grandmothers along with us on our journey this year. Last year it was just KK, Suzy, and I. Last year's trip was definitely just an excuse for KK and I to see the critters.
She loved that little fella last year!

Look at her!!! Time flies entirely too fast!

It really makes you realize how fast time goes by when you start doing yearly traditions. Thirteen months prior we were pushing Suzy around in the same stroller. She was strapped in, had no shoes on b/c she couldn't walk, I had formula stashed in my diaper bag, and I was a nervous wreck. This zoo trip involved the stroller that she refused to ride in (she only wanted to walk or be held over the fences so she could see), a Lunchable, a sippy cup, and a backpack that housed an extra pair of shoes in case her sandals were uncomfortable. It is absolutely amazing how much has changed over such a short period of time.

Mimi, Mama, and Sue Bird
My sweet Suzy is obsessed with all animals and can make all the noises they make (according to Baby Einstein books). She got so excited to see all the zoo creatures. The first stop were the "Cats"!
Here Kitty Kitty........

"Woooooow!"

After the cats we cruised to The Farm area! Last year, the farm was her favorite part. I told Scott we could have saved last year's money and taken her to Lyndale Farms and let Uncle Chris show her the cows.... She loved the farm animals this year, but they weren't her favorite anymore!

We tried to take a family photo while we were at The Farm... EPIC FAIL!
Not a single person was looking at the camera!
A little better....
The best we got....
Suzy and I have the prettiest Memaw ever!!

Gigi and Mimi took Sue Baby on a train ride!
Suzy's favorite part of the zoo were the MONKEYS! She probably would have stayed at the monkey area all day. She made all sorts of racket and monkey sounds/gestures with the little guys!
Suzy's sweet KK!

He was loving some corn!

Suzy said he was going "night night".

Just another example of grown folks more excited than the kiddos!
I really expected the giraffe, the zebra, or the elephants to be Suzy's favorites. Those are the animals that she raves about all the time.... The monkeys took the winning spot, but she still enjoyed the other critters!

When we were making our last stop in the area where all the wolves and such are I tried to capture a lovely moment with my sweet Sue.... another fail.

As we were leaving the zoo they had this awesome fall scene to use for pictures. We thought it would be a good opportunity to try for another group shot..... I'll let you judge the results of that idea!

I could just squeeze her forever! I can't get enough of my Sue.

KK and I had to get Suzy back with the alligator for a 2nd year picture. Look at the difference in her from last year (that I posted above) and this year!
