The Breakfast Club

I got the scoop on a happening party at BACC for New Years Eve the Thursday before the party. I was told that it was going to be an 80s party, and let me tell you.... I. WAS. PUMPED!!! I never really ask anyone to babysit for me, but I was bound and determined that this Mama was going out for the big occasion. I called Mimi immediately and asked her if they had plans. She said they didn't, so I jumped on the opportunity to ask her to babysit Suzy. I immediately went to Its Fashion Metro and raided the store. I called in reinforcement to make the final decision on my outfit, and talked the reinforcement into joining in on the fun. After two hours, Kalon and I had the perfect gear for the party. We were set. I found knick knacks here and there to complete our ensambles. We even found the perfect outfit for Scott. It is so much fun having a hubby that will participate in the ridiculousness that I ask him to do. He was a super sport.

Before the party, Jesika, Kalon, and I had Prom 1984 party at my house. We all got dressed together and helped each other out with make up and hair. We went all out. Pink lipstick, crimped hair, flashy eyeshadow, the works..... About the time that we had put the finishing touches on everything people starting showing up to have appetizers and beverages before the party. It was prime time for a photoshoot.

We showed up at the country club and had a ball. I danced like I have never danced before, and had an absolute blast. We finally got home and in bed around 4:30 AM. We rung in the new year like we were important or something?! Everyone stayed at our house to avoid driving. We figured we would wake up the next morning to cook breakfast... We were wrong. Our Breakfast Club was not up for the challenge. The party took its toll on us. We were pathetic when we finally crawled out of bed the next day. I know why I do not go out and act like a lunatic anymore. I needed a visit with the chiropractor and a week off from reality to recoop. I will say, it was worth it. We haven't had that much fun in a looong time. I am glad it is over, and I look forward to next year all in the same breath.

Bathroom Fun!

The crew.

Someone should have told us to go home at this point.
Someone should have kicked me out at this point.
This is what bad make up, pink lipstick, crimped hair, and a rough morning looked like.
