The Past Year- Part 2

 May
We continued to go the country club most afternoons with Scott. We tried really hard to be outside as much as possible. That golf cart was Suzy's "happy pill".
We also loaded Suzy up and went back to the lake house for a quick weekend trip.
During the month of May Suzy struggled with being sick, very sick. She was sick when we were at the lake house, but I decided that it was just a cold and change of environment. By Monday she was no better, so I took her to Dr. Dennis for him to check her out. Dr. Dennis wasn't there, but his Nurse Practitioner was on call. She diagnosed her with a double ear infection and RSV. It was the scariest sickness thus far. I slept in her nursery with her, because I was scared her breathing would become irregular and I wouldn't know it. Most nights I slept with her in the bed with me, so I could feel her breathing patterns. I remember timing the seconds between each breath. Ugh, I hate RSV. They gave us antibiotics and a breathing machine, and within days she was back to her normal self.

Our favorite girls, Kendal and Alison, gave Suzy her first pedicure! She loved her flashy toes.

She was starting to outgrow the sink. This is where I would put her while getting dressed. She loved messing with all my stuff and looking in the mirror. It didn't last too long after May.

Rolls, Rolls, Rolls.

Suzy's scary breathing machine. Ugh, I hated doing that.

One of my sleepless nights during the battle with RSV.

She dressed up big time to show Doc that she felt muuuuch better for  her check up.

We loved play dates with Ford! Chevy had made his arrival yet.

June
I struggled with keeping structure and routine, since I was out of school for Summer Break. I tried to get out of the house, but I was still nervous to do much. I struggled with the fear of her acting "bad" in public. We did get out one day for lunch with Veazy's mom, Sally.

She was so excited about getting out and about.

Sally shared lemon with Suzy to keep her calm. Winner!!!

We spent later that afternoon with her KK soaking up Vitamin D.
Gigi always tried to give me Saturdays "off" so I could have some "MamaTime" at the pool. Laying out is one  of my very favorite things to do in the summer, so that is where I spent most of my "MamaTime". On Sunday afternoons Gigi and Pops would always try to play golf, so they would bring her home to us on their way to the course. One day Suzy, Scott, and I went out there for the last few holes of their game. Suzy got some golf pointers from her Pops. She had a ball.

We spent a lot of afternoons at Mimi's swimming pool. Sue Baby really enjoyed anything that was outside.

Easten and Suzy enjoying the grass and sunshine.

Late afternoon ride of the golf cart put baby girl to sleep.

A cold wet rag and her walker on a hot day......  That's all she needed.

Lauren, Memaw, Mom, and I went to the beach while Suzy spent the weekend with her Gigi. On the way to the beach, Lauren talked Kalon and I into running a 5K (The Color Run). We signed up on our way to the beach, and we started "training" when I got back from the beach. It was quite the struggle in the summertime heat, but we kept on keeping on.

Day 1 wore Sue out too!

After Day One run.... Whewwwww!!

There were A LOT of pictures for May and June........ The pictures say the words, right?
